1″ ALABAMA MARBLE

1″ Alabama Marble gravel is a decorative landscaping stone that has a brilliant white color, similar to Carrara marble, but is known for its unique vein structure and purity. It is used for pathways, garden borders, and ground cover, and can be purchased in bulk from landscape supply yards. The term “Alabama Marble” refers to the source of the stone, which is mined in Sylacauga, Alabama. 

Characteristics

  • Color: Brilliant white with characteristic veins
  • Size: Approximately 1/2″ to 1″ in diameter
  • Appearance: High-end, professional look that is similar to Carrara marble
  • Source: Mined from large deposits in Sylacauga, Alabama 

Uses

    • Landscaping:
        • Decorative ground cover for garden beds and flowerbeds
    • Paths and walkways
    • Borders for garden beds and patios
    • Accents around water features, trees, or outdoor seating areas
    • Decorative mulch alternative

Other considerations

  • Drainage: Helps improve drainage and prevent weeds
  • Coverage: A typical yard of chips can cover approximately 100 square feet at a 2″ depth
  • Availability: Available in bulk from landscape supply stores

  • Quantity Variation: Due to the loading mechanism, please allow for the following variation in ordered quantity:
    • on orders of 4 tons or more.
    • on orders of less than 4 tons. (Percentage reduces on much larger orders.)
